Bir-Hakeim is not an ordinary bridge – it’s an example of the refined and elegant “industrial” construction. The engineering thought combined with the talent of the architect produced a splendid result which became one of the famous sights of Paris…  

Я люблю утро – пустынные улицы города, мягкий свет и прозрачное небо. Хотя “жаворонком” я никогда не была, и ранний подъём для меня долгие годы казался настоящей пыткой. Но как выяснилось, свои внутренние часы тоже можно перевести – путём многолетних утренних тренировок (и тренировки в данном случае не фигура речи, а именно фитнес). Сейчас мысль о том, чтобы проснуться затемно и отправиться фотографировать рассвет, вселяет в меня неподдельный энтузиазм, а сеанс йоги часов в семь утра кажется отличной идеей. Конечно, удовольствие от позднего завтрака и утра в постели никто не отменял, но это стало для меня исключением из общего правила, одним из приятных подарков самой себе.

Утро для этой фотосессии выдалось на удивление тёплым и почти весенним – трудно поверить, что дело было всего пару дней до Рождества! Мост Бир-Хакейм был пронизан солнечными лучами и покрыт сложным узором теней. Я выбрала для съёмки геометрический силуэт и яркий красный цвет, практически полностью одевшись в Max Mara.

Нужно признаться, красный я ношу в Париже редко. В статье о французском стиле я писала, что один из его признаков – total black look, поэтому чёрный постепенно занял лидирующее место в моём гардеробе. Когда я надеваю красный, сразу появляется чувство праздника и какого-то исключительного дня… Кстати, может быть, в новом году следует делать это почаще?;)

I love mornings because the city is so calm and the light is so perfect. I’ve never been a “morning” person though… It’s after the years and years of efforts that I got used to get up early, work out in the morning, hunt the sunrises and enjoy the desert city. I still appreciate late breakfasts and mornings in the bed, but it became an exceptional treat.

The morning when I had this photo shoot was really exceptional: you can hardly imagine such a warm sunny weather just a few days before Christmas! The Bir-Hakeim bridge was so beautiful in the soft sunlight, it seemed almost weightless. The fine detailing of its metallic elements and the very belle-époque  triumphal arch in the center of the bridge make it look exquisite. I chose an elegant and bright look for this place, almost total Max Mara, with geometrical silhouette.

I should say I love wearing red but I rarely do it in Paris. When I wrote about French style, I noticed that one of the most typical characteristics of it is lots of black clothes. Since I’m already infected with this “virus of black”, I often wear this color in my everyday life. When I put on something red, I immediately feel like it’s a holiday! May be I might do it more often… Should it be one the new year’s resolutions?;)
