It’s almost Christmas, but Paris still enjoys sunny days. The air is fresh, transparent and smells roasted chestnuts. It’s difficult to find a calm place in Paris in the pre-holiday rush, but the Jardin du Palais Royal is always so serene…

В Париже есть место, которого не касается предновогодняя суета – Сад Королевского Дворца (Пале-Рояль) напротив Лувра. Это одно из моих любимых мест, и не только потому, что там расположено модное Café Kitsuné, о котором я уже писала. Сад Пале-Рояль – образец знаменитой французской симметрии и фьюжна классической архитектуры с современным искусством. Зимой черные деревья красиво контрастируют с белым камнем, вместе с колоннами Бюрена превращая Сад в чёрно-белый ретро фильм. В таких элегантных декорациях как нельзя кстати классический аутфит в пастельных тонах…

Я редко ношу каблук в Париже, но у этих ботильонов United Nude такая удобная, хотя и непривычная конструкция, что даже каменные мостовые им не страшны. Хорошо, что в осенней обуви в Париже можно ходить всю зиму – отрицательных температур тут практически не бывает. И моего любимого шерстяного пальто обычно вполне достаточно – хотя случаются в феврале холодные деньки, когда приходится добавлять к нему тёплый свитер и большой уютный шарф.

В этом году у меня предчувствие чуда, рождественской сказки, новогодней феерии… Кто знает, сбудется ли оно?

Le Jardin du Palais Royal is one of my favorite places in Paris – and not only because of the fashionable Café Kitsuné which is situated there (find more about this coffee spot in one of my previous articles). With it’s broad galleries and snow white arcades the Jardin du Palais Royal is an etalon of the classical French architecture. Since 1985, the inner courtyard was transformed with modern art installation of Daniel Buren (“The Colonnes de Buren”) which consists of cylindrical pillars covered in black and white stripes. For many Parisians this strange juxtaposition of modern and ancient is a sourse of irritation but personally I find it stylish and vibrant, just perfect for taking fashion pictures.

In winter I like wearing pastel colors and natural materials. A wool pencil skirt and silk nude blouse, that is so me. And these United Nude booties are an absolute dream – their original construction makes them so comfy at Parisian pavements!

I wish everyone a good December! Don’t be totally absorbed by pre-holidays craziness and find time for the moments of relax every day…
