Let me introduce you my new favorite private beach in Cannes : Ohlala Le Martinez by the famous 5-stars Martinez Hotel. It was reopened a couple of weeks ago, and last Sunday together with my friend Elena we spent the whole day there enjoying sea and sunshine, rosé and Mediterranean cuisine, good music and excellent service.
Decorated in boho style, Ohlala Le Martinez combines French elegance with nomadic spirit. Natural wood, raffia and white textiles create warm and cozy atmosphere which makes you feel so relaxed. To your ultimate comfort, lunch can be served directly on the beach – no need to book a table at the restaurant if you feel lazy. That’s what we opted for, ordering octopus salad and ceviche (both delicious) and opening a bottle of Minuty.
Our beach beds were located on the huge pontoon offering a splendid view. What I love about beach pontoons is that it’s never too hot on them : there’s always a bit of wind. We had no problems spending the whole afternoon there working on our tan (using sunscreens of course) and having a dip in the sea from time to time.
In the evening, we had dinner at Ohlala Le Martinez beach restaurant, nice music (new DJ set every evening) and beautiful sunset accompanying our meal. We finished on a sweet note with the yummiest desserts, a classical tarte au citron and a cheesecake with berry sauce. The day couldn’t end better!
A special word of Thanks to the members of Ohlala Le Martinez team who took care of us all day long, always super friendly, polite and efficient. At the moment when we wanted to order a dessert on the beach and the kitchen has been already closed after lunch, the stuff has promptly found a solution : they proposed us to choose something from the room service menu of Martinez Hotel and to bring it directly to the beach!
To give you a little idea of the prices on the menu: 50€ a bottle of rosé Minuty Prestige, 28€ a pizza, 34€ Caesar salad, 38€ a burger. These are the basics, but obviously you have lots of other options.
What else can I add? We learned that welness sessions took place at Ohlala Le Martinez every Wednesday morning – I would be curious to participate to one of them! I also would like to get back Friday or Saturday evening – I think the atmosphere will be even more festive than it was on Sunday.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here’re some snaps of our Sunday at Ohlala Le Martinez which, I’m sure, will make you dream :
