I love discovering new hotels in Paris. Not only because I can after recommend them to my friends who come to visit the city, but also because I love feeling myself a tourist in Paris, at least for a few hours!
The hotel Grands Boulevards belongs to the same group as the Grand Pigalle hotel (I wrote about it here). Located in a historical Haussmann building the hotel Grands Boulevards has been totally renovated inside and looks super stylish! Together with my friend Genia we spent a lazy morning there and enjoyed breakfast in bed.
We adored the rooms’ design, with Tiffany green and warm brown colors combination, a vintage touch and rustic elements. This fusion of old and new creates such cozy ambiance that we could hardly leave the room when it was time to go! There’s a very good acoustic insulation, too, which is so important for the good rest.
For breakfast we had a variety of French pastries, scrambled eggs (particularly delicious), home-made granola (a huge bowl!) and fruit salad, as well as some smoked salmon, cheese, ham and fresh orange juice. For me smoked salmon and fresh orange juice are always the signs of a high quality breakfast at the hotels, even if fruits, bread and jam are important, too. To sum up, we appreciated breakfast a lot and left almost nothing of it except a couple of pastries – just because we try to pay a bit of attention to our shape:)
We didn’t eat at the hotel’s restaurant but we had a look at its interior and it gave me desire to come there for lunch one day. The place is decorated by lots of plants which bring freshness and together with wooden furniture create organic color palette. Natural light passing through the glass roof make further connection with nature and outdoors.
A few words about the hotel Grands Boulevards location: it’s situated in the center of Paris, at the walking distance from the Opera Garnier and Galerie Lafayette and close to one of my favorite areas around Sentier metro station, with plenty of trendy restaurants and lovely coffee shops (foodies, take a good note of it!)
Grands Boulevards is a perfect place to stay for those who love exploring the hidden gems of the city, discovering authentic streets and lively neighborhoods. A special recommendation for interior design lovers and visual persons:)
