Бывают города, в которых оставляешь своё сердце. И бывают отели, которые находятся в таинственной гармонии с этими городами – в них сразу чувствуешь себя так, будто прожил в городе всю жизнь и булочник знает тебя по имени.

There are the cities that steal your heart. And there are the hotels in which you feel like you’ve lived in the city all your live and the baker calls you by name.

Флоренция – один из таких городов, и я никогда не устану снова и снова туда возвращаться. В свой последний приезд я обнаружила во Флоренции гостиницу, которая с ней как-то особенно гармонирует.

J.K. Place, маленький бутик-отель всего из 20 комнат, находится на площади Санта Мария Новелла, напротив самой красивой церкви Флоренции. Сдержанный фасад скрывает за собой органичное сочетание классического интерьера и современного дизайна. Мебель и отделка – в основном из натуральных материалов, и никакого пластика вместо дерева.

Florence is definitely one of those cities and I will return there again and again… In my last visit to Florence I discovered a fabulous place, 20-room boutique hotel J.K. Place, which seems to be in perfect harmony with the city. Located on Santa Maria Novella square, this hotel isn’t too old-fashioned nor too modern. It’s a perfect example of the traditional-meets-modern design! Solid wooden furniture, fine antiques and arts create the discreet atmosphere of a luxurious town-house.

Здание, в котором расположен отель, – старинный, типично флорентийский особняк со внутренним двориком и террасой на крыше. Над двориком установлена стеклянная крыша (загадочным образом она выглядит так, словно веками там и была) и установлен широкий ореховый стол, за которым сервируется завтрак. Идея предложить гостям завтракать вместе, на мой взгляд, очень симпатичная – это усиливает ощущение “семейного пансиона в старые добрые времена”.

J.K. Place occupies a typical Florentine palazzo with a courtyard and a terrace on the roof.  The courtyard is covered with a glass roof which matches perfectly with the old stone walls. In this clear and cosy space breakfasts are served on the long solid table. The idea to propose to the guests to have breakfast together on the same table is in line with the whole hotel’s concept of feeling-at-home (the separate tables are also available though).

Двух одинаковых комнат нет, каждая индивидуальна, хотя и выдержана в общем стиле отеля – натуральное дерево, стекло, сдержанная черно-кремовая гамма.

The interiors are designed by the renowned Florentine architect Michele Bonan. Each room is unique, but they are all united by the elegant and laconic style: black and cream colors, wood and glass, high quality materials and latest technology.

Особенно поражает воображение двухуровневый сьют, из окон которого открывается великолепный вид на Флоренцию – представьте, какое удовольствие принимать ванну с такой панорамой перед глазами!

I’m particularly impressed by a fabulous Penthouse with a spectacular view allowing details of the Florentine scene to wander in. Do you imagine a pleasure to admire the Duomo while having a bath?..

Отдельно нужно рассказать о ресторане J.K. Lounge. Это не просто меню, это особый концепт: все блюда готовятся из органических продуктов, приобретенных у фермеров региона. Даже в состав коктейлей помимо, собственно, алкоголя входят только биопродукты!

Честно признаться, ланч в J.K. Place занял у нас с моей подругой Солли добрых три часа. Мы начали с аперитива на террасе с видом на площадь Санта Мария Новелла. Фирменный коктейль J.K. Place – мохито с лесными ягодами, оригинальный и свежий рецепт, а крупные тосканские оливки – отличное дополнение к нему.

The hotel restaurant, J.K. Lounge, follows the principles of organic kitchen: all the ingredients of the dishes in the menu are produced locally using sustainable and organic practices. The menu is based on seasonality and availability of regional fresh ingredients and healthy dishes are a mainstream.

To be honest, the lunch at J.K. Lounge took us at least three hours – and we enjoyed every minute of it! We began by an aperitif at the terrace, which opens directly on to the piazza Santa Maria Novella. The special recipe of Mojito includes red berries and based on organic ingredients. The olives come from Tuscan farms and complete the drink perfectly.

На закуску – классический капрезе с моцареллой ди буфала. Чем проще рецепт блюда, тем большее значение имеет качество ингридиентов. Когда в салате только зелень, помидоры и моцарелла, каждый продукт должен быть свежайшим!

We ordered classical caprese as a starter. When the recipe is so simple, the ingredients should be of the highest quality. There are only green leaves, tomatoes and mozzarella in this salad – and each product was fresh and natural!

Потом, как полагается в Италии, первое блюдо – паста. У меня с морепродуктами, а у Солли – с томатным соусом и базиликом.

In Italy after the starter we eat pasta – that’s why Italy is so dangerous for your waist! Anyway in J.K. Lounge reasonable portion sizes are the rule, so we allowed ourselves delicious tomato-basil pasta without any hesitations!

В качестве основного блюда мы выбрали “дары моря”: осьминога на гриле и свежепойманную рыбу.

As a main dish we chose “taste of the sea”: grilled octopus and filet of fish of the day.

Наконец, десерт – классический тирамису! И конечно, рюмочка домашнего лимончелло, чтобы завершить обед:)

And quite naturally we couldn’t resist tiramisu, a big classic of Italian cuisine! The traditional dessert, cooked of the fresh organic products, was a pure pleasure… And we finished the meal with a glass of aromatic homemade limoncello!

Детали имеют значение: картофельные чипсы на закуску – домашнего приготовления, а в безалкогольных коктейлях – только биоингридиенты.

Ресторан открыт для всех, а не только для гостей отеля, поэтому стоит зайти сюда, даже если вы остановились в другом месте.

It’s all about details: potato chips are homemade and healthy green cocktails contain only organic ingredients.

The restaurant is open for everybody, not only for the guests of the hotel, so you can reserve a table even if you stay in another place.

В J.K. Place настолько приятная, комфортная обстановка и ненавязчивый, но дружелюбный персонал, что забываешь о том, что находишься в отеле. Во многом заслуга в этом принадлежит управляющему, который необычайно увлечен историей и традициями Флоренции и даже выпустил небольшой авторский путеводитель по городу для гостей J.K. Place.

Discreet and personalized service makes you feel at home (just better than at home – more comfortable;) The check-in and check-out formalities are performed with a drink in a dark wood library and there’s no reception at all. Claudio Meli, director of J.K. Place, is passionate by Florence, its history and traditions, and even published a guidebook for the guests of the hotel!
